June 2nd -- Brough, Yorkshire Dales
Mostly grey & overcast, very little rain till late afternoon. Weather forecasting is so inaccurate - according to all the weather forecasts we were in for a soaking. So good walking all round and good refreshments all round courtesy of Brough Castle tearooms and the 2 pubs in Brough.

The A walk started in Brough heading up Swindale Beck to Woodside , then on to Foddering Hill and up towards Iron Band then across open moorland to Stainmore Common and back to Brough via the woods on Dummah Hill.
Phone stop The best thing about A walks..
..along with.. ..nice steep climbs!

The B and C walks had a staggered start near Kirkby Stephen station with the B party setting off first, heading through Hartley, Winton (lunch stop on the Green), Kaber and Brough Sowerby. From here the C walk went directly into Brough through Sowerby Park, while the B walk followed a loop to the west via Hall Garth. Photos from B walk.
